b. Context and Aesthetics

Studio shots vs. lifestyle or in situ requirements.

c. Manufacturing 3D models (ie. STEP, FBX, or DWG).

d. Material & Finish specs (Specific RAL/Pantone codes and gloss levels).

e. Technical and photometric data (IES files) for light-accurate virtual performance.

1. Model & Texture Review

Initial delivery of prepared product 3D models with custom textures, materials, and base lighting applied.

2. Storyboard & Asset Plan

A complete visual storyboard to determine the final asset plan, camera paths, and motion scripts, ensuring the creative direction is approved before final production.

3. High-fidelity renders per product

For use in marketing and support, which could include the following depending on your contract:

  • Still Images (hero shots or variety of angles)
  • Motion Sequences (any length of animations)
  • Teaser, Launch, or Features Videos
  • Product Assembly and Use Tutorials

4. Deliverables can be optimized for your specific needs, including but not limited to:

  • 1080p media for high-performance web and social use.
  • Ultra-HD renders for professional print and large-scale displays.
  • Print-color specific renders for offline marketing collateral.

5. Standard revision cycles per project

Fine-tuning product textures, lighting, and camera angles based on your feedback.

6. 1-year production warranty on all produced files

  • What 3D file formats do I need to provide?

    The General Device Type Format (GDTF) file format was originally conceived and jointly developed by MA Lighting, Vectorworks, and Robe Lighting to be an open standards technology to facilitate interoperability and data exchange between manufacturers and their designer base.


    GDTF-share provides tools to help you to build GDTF files, however, many find this task well suited to be outsourced to those who know how and are well prepared to keep up with the constant changes. This can save significant costs and time for your company to focus on your products.


    That's where we come in to simplify the process for you.

  • Why do I need to provide IES files?

    If you’re a Manufacturer or Distributor of DMX controlled Lighting Fixtures then you know how important it is to provide fixture profiles for popular Lighting Consoles so your customers can control your gear. You also know that you can spend countless hours creating these fixture profiles. It’s an endless, time consuming task.


    We can automate your GDTF profile database for use in popular consoles as well as for keeping current in distributor databases.

  • Can I use these renders for high-quality print marketing?

    Yes, we can provide specific print-color (CMYK) renders to ensure that the colors on your brochures and trade show banners match your digital presence. Just be sure to let us know that you need print quality renders in your initial project scope outline.

  • What is the difference between "Studio" and "Environmental" renders?

    Studio renders feature your product on a clean, neutral background—ideal for website product pages. Environmental (or Lifestyle) renders place your fixtures in a real-world setting, such as a stage, architectural space, or outdoor environment, to show the product in context.

  • How many revisions are included in a project?

    We can add them to GDTF-Share on behalf of your company as your official file database. If you chose the subscription level that includes this, we'll reach out to coordinate this the first time and notify you each time we push updates to GDTF-Share.

  • Do you offer support for technical control platforms?

    Yes!

  • Do I need to supply 2D symbols and 3D models for my products?

    No, not if you provide our team with the sufficient info and files. We can produce 2D symbols and 3D models for your products.


    Some of our clients like to provide their own models if they're already building them for other reasons but most use our service to produce them in a consistent manner.

  • I have 3D models for most of our products but not all. Can I add them later?

    Yes, that's not a problem! Please reach out to our team at support@q2qtechnologies.com with any requests like this and we'll get it sorted asap.

  • Do you provide support after the files are delivered?

    Yes, we offer ongoing support to ensure seamless integration of files into your workflows and address any questions or issues that arise.



    Typically revisions are included in our packages as we believe in these assets being "living resources" that adapt as the industries using them update their technology and have ever-changing needs.
